To collaborate with clients in order to create individual and varied interiors that are influenced by his unique sense of style and taste.
A second career later in life lead Sloan to a degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Interior Design. Upon graduating he took a position at the award-winning firm of Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates in San Francisco. While at ODADA, Sloan was a Senior Designer and an Interiors Studio Manager. With over 14 years of experience, Sloan specializes in high-end residential and commercial work with a focus on custom furniture, carpets and fabric designs. The fine details are key to the integration of architecture within a given interior. He has a sharp eye for color and the innate ability to mix textures and materials within a given room or a single piece of furniture.
His preference is to work closely with an Architect from the beginning of the design process for complete integration. This allows him to flush out the details that impact furniture and lighting layouts and the various meeting and transitions of materials. Decisions that in the end, make dramatic differences in the way in an interior is experienced.
He is also currently a Senior Adjunct Professor that the California College of the Arts in San Francisco teaching interior design studio courses at all levels.
Over the years, Sloan has gathered a wide and varied group of vendors, artists and resources that he collaborates with enabling him to bring his design visions into reality.
